01Acceptance of these Terms
OceanBite ("the Bot", "we", "us") is a fishing game application for Discord. By adding OceanBite to a Discord server or interacting with any of its commands, buttons, menus, or other features, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please remove the Bot and discontinue use.
Your use of OceanBite is also governed by Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
02The Service
OceanBite is a free, virtual fishing game. Players catch fish, earn in-game currencies, upgrade equipment, complete quests, join clans and tournaments, and progress through levels — all within Discord.
OceanBite is provided for entertainment only. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.
03Eligibility
You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement (13 years old, or higher where required by local law) to use OceanBite. By using the Bot you confirm that you meet this requirement.
04Virtual Items & Currencies
- All in-game items, currencies, fish, equipment, boosts, and progression (including money, exotic fish, and Sea Crystals) are virtual goods with no real-world monetary value.
- Virtual goods cannot be purchased with, sold for, or exchanged into real money or anything of real-world value.
- We may rebalance, modify, or reset virtual goods and game mechanics at any time to maintain a fair and fun experience.
- Virtual goods are not refundable, transferable outside the game, or recoverable upon account deletion.
05Fair Play
To keep the game fun for everyone, you agree not to:
- Automate gameplay using self-bots, macros, scripts, or any other automation;
- Exploit bugs for unfair advantage (please report them instead);
- Use multiple accounts to farm currency, manipulate leaderboards, clans, or tournaments;
- Harass other players or use offensive names for clans or other user-provided content.
We may reset progress, restrict features, or block access for accounts or servers that violate these rules, at our sole discretion.
06Availability & Changes
OceanBite is provided free of charge and on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uptime, data durability, or uninterrupted access. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the Bot, in whole or in part, at any time without notice.
07Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OceanBite and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, virtual goods, or game progress, arising out of or related to your use of the Bot.
08Privacy
Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy. In short: we store your Discord user ID and gameplay data, and nothing more.
09Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Bot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
